DB Schenker develops its operations at Business Garden Warsaw

Vastint Poland signed a lease for 2,100 m2 of office space with Schenker Technology Center (Warsaw), a part of the DB Schenker Group. This newly created unit will provide IT services to the group companies in Europe and in certain parts of Asia and Africa. Business Garden Warsaw was chosen as headquarter location.

Anna Szmilewska, Senior Leasing Manager Vastint Poland, says, “DB Schenker is yet another among our present tenants of Business Garden Warsaw, who decided to expand within the complex. Due to its scale, the project allows tenants to increase their office space without any problems, both within one building or within the project. Furthermore, modern office interiors, convenient access to public transport and a well-considered range of amenities ensure excellent working environment and support business processes of our tenants.”

Przemysław Głębocki, General Manager Schenker Technology Center (Warsaw), says, “The choice of Business Garden as the location of the IT centre was well considered. We were looking for a project which is innovative and environmentally friendly, but above all ensures a comfortable working environment for our employees in a modern office complex. Green areas surrounding the complex, locker rooms and showers for cyclists, air-conditioning system with filtered and humidified air and proper daylight access constitute further advantages of Business Garden. The Warsaw STC center will provide solutions for DB Schenker throughout the world, therefore, the location of the center near one of the main traffic arteries of the city well linked with the city center and very close to the airport was also important for us.”

Business Garden Warsaw consists of seven six-floor office buildings of a total of 90,000 m2 of leasable space. The distinguishing feature of the complex, besides interesting architecture, is a well-designed garden with water ponds, where rest and work zones with Wi-Fi access are located. The garden along with the biologically active roof areas constitute as much as 60% of the complex area. For of the occupants’ convenience, the business park comprises a number of amenities such as a hotel, conference centre and a restaurant. A grocery store and a fitness club will open soon. The project has been awarded LEED Platinum certification.
