The construction of the next phase of Business Garden Wroclaw starts

Vastint Poland has appointed HOCHTIEF Polska as the general contractor of the second phase of Business Garden Wroclaw. Under the contract, six office and service buildings with a total leasable area of approx. 79,000 m2 are to be built. Construction works will commence in July this year and will end in November 2019.

The planned investment is a continuation and enhancement of the first phase of the Business Garden office complex, which is being built within the Legnicka and Jaworska Streets and the neighboring PKP Mikołajów railway station in Wrocław. Realisation of the project was assigned to HOCHTIEF Polska. The construction works will be jointly executed by the Poznan and Warsaw Hochtief’s Branches.

The scope of the contract covers the general contracting of six office-service buildings, i.e. one 15-storey and five 7-storey buildings. Each will have a technical floor and an underground garage. There will be a total of 962 parking spaces, as well as bike racks and bikers’ locker rooms. An additional parking for 153 vehicles is to be provided on the ground level. Road communication is planned around the perimeter of the complex so that it is as unobtrusive to the pedestrians as possible and does not interfere with people in the internal garden. The total area of the buildings will amount to approximately 133,400 m2. The project was designed in accordance with the LEED Platinum sustainability standard.

Roger Andersson, Managing Director of Vastint Poland commented: ”Realisation of the second and last phase of Business Garden Wroclaw is a great challenge due to the scale of the project. It is essential to properly plan the construction process in such a way that the functioning of the existing part of the complex is kept unobstructed. HOCHTIEF Polska is a reliable partner who has already performed well on our projects many times. I am confident that in this case they will also be able to deliver the project successfully and meet our expectations in regard to the quality and timeliness of the work”.

Henryk Liszka, CEO of HOCHTIEF Polska says: “We are delighted to continue the successful cooperation with our client Vastint Poland for whom we have already realized a similar large-scale project – Business Garden in Warsaw and two office buildings Brama Portowa I and Brama Portowa II in Szczecin”.
